We are the Rambling Roos; Viki & Roger!
We are a couple of empty-nesters who have been RVing for over 20 years and full-time since 2019. We started this blog while preparing for full-time RV life in order to chronicle some of that process. Now we try to capture some of our journeys and adventures to share with our friends and family. You can read more about how we got started here.
Why the Rambling Roos? We met while students at Austin College in Sherman, TX, home of the Kangaroos, so we have always had a fondness for the kangaroo. In addition, our first two motorhomes were Fleetwood Bounders which, of course, has a kangaroo in its logo. Rambling is probably what we do in this blog, as well as in our travels.
These days, we are in a 42′ Beaver Contessa, so the kangaroo shares a space with the Beaver, but we still have a soft spot for the kangaroo.
We are not retired at this point, but we are more focused on living in the moment. As some wise person once said, “Tomorrow is not guaranteed!” With that in mind, we go places, see things, and have adventures while we can. With any luck, “while we can” will be many, many years, but we aren’t waiting for “Someday” — we’re doing it now!
